AC Milan will face Perth Glory in the final friendly of their preseason tour, but Christian Pulisic will not take to the field.
Massimiliano Allegri has rotated heavily for the game against the A-League’s bottom-placed side from last season, making eight changes compared to the side that beat Liverpool. The likes of Filippo Terracciano, Pervis Estupinan, Christian Comotto and Alex Jimenez have been given the nod.
As MilanNews reports, one thing of note is that Pulisic is neither in the starting eleven nor on the bench. The American winger has been rested after the ankle injury he sustained a few days ago during the test in Hong Kong against Liverpool, they state.
Of course given the circumstances it is right not to risk any player that is not at 100%, which also explains why the club chose to handle the likes of Mike Maignan and Jimenez carefully in the first game against Arsenal.
Pulisic will therefore rest up and hope to return to action next weekend, when Milan face off against Leeds United in Dublin and his former club Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. In the meantime, Fabrizio Romano reported that the USA international is very happy being a Rossoneri player.
