AC Milan are waiting for Christian Pulisic to land back in Italy to assess his injury, and there will be no reassuring news today.
This international break has been particularly difficult for Milan, who have lost several players to injury. The first seemed likely to be Alexis Saelemaekers, but as was recently reported, fortunately the Belgian’s problem turned out to be less serious than expected.
According to MilanNews, ‘the opposite is true for Christian Pulisic’, whose condition will not actually be assessed today. The American will return from the United States late tonight (European time) due to a flight delay from Colorado, and will undergo the tests tomorrow instead.
It is already almost certain that Pulisic has zero chance of playing any part against Fiorentina on Sunday night at San Siro. However, what remains to be seen is whether an absence of around a month will be confirmed, if a serious enough muscle issue.
Pervis Estupinan and Adrien Rabiot are back in Italy and will undergo tests today to determine whether or not they will be able to play Sunday’s match. They have ankle and muscle issues respectively, so Massimiliano Allegri will await news anxiously.
