Massimiliano Allegri strongly desired it, and his wish was granted: from Wednesday onward, Adrien Rabiot will officially be a new AC Milan player.
As MilanNews reports, Rabiot already is a Milan player, considering the announcement on the last day of the transfer window. However, the Frenchman hasn’t been seen near Milanello for just under a week now because he’s busy with France.
A key cog
From Wednesday onwards, he will be at the Rossoneri’s training complex, where he will aim to find his best form after a rather stormy start to the season.
Rabiot’s last 90 minutes actually date back to mid-August, during Marseille’s 1-0 defeat to Rennes, the same day he had a shocking altercation with Jon Rowe that ultimately led to both players being left out and then sold.

Since then, zero minutes in Ligue 1 and the 15-minute snippet the other night against Ukraine. Tuesday’s match against Iceland could therefore serve the new Milan midfielder to gain more minutes to regain his best form, so he can return to Italy and be a key figure in the Allegri era.
One thing is certain: Rabiot is the only one, along with Luka Modric, who has a guaranteed place in the three-man midfield. This is especially the case because of what he brings: leadership, quality and dynamism.
