MN24: Danger averted as Berardi will miss Milan-Sassuolo this weekend

Domenico Berardi has been a menace in Serie A for several years, and AC Milan know that all too well. Fortunately, he will not feature this weekend. 

This weekend, Massimiliano Allegri will look to a pretty strong team to get past Sassuolo. He has no interest in dropping points against a team lower in the table again, and hopes to fly to Saudi Arabia with his team at the top.

However, he has been given a massive boost from the reports about the opposition.

Milan already gain an advantage

As MilanNews24 reports, Berardi is set to miss this weekend’s clash, which is a major bonus. This season, he has seven contributions in Serie A, with four goals and three assists after returning to the top flight.

Of course, he would be considered a danger from this alone. However, the Rossoneri are a favoured opponent for the Italian. In fact, he is the highest scorer of all time in this fixture.

He has played 20 times against the Diavolo, winning seven games and drawing three – a pretty even split. In these games, he has scored 11 times, whilst assisting another seven, making Milan his best-performing fixture.

Berardi is not Fabio Grosso’s only threat. Nevertheless, the news of his absence will only be welcomed, especially to Allegri, who has nightmares about his last meeting with the forward with the Rossoneri.
