Mohamed Salah’s farewell tour is nearing its conclusion, and the Liverpool legend is showing his class before he departs.
Salah has announced he will be leaving the Reds at the end of the season, having reached an agreement for the final year of his contract to be waived. The Egyptian now has just five games remaining before he bids farewell to the club after nine years of service.
Sunday saw the forward take in his final Merseyside derby, and he made sure to leave his mark as he opened the scoring in Liverpool’s 2-1 win at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Sky Sports’ Refcam footage from the weekend saw Salah shaking hands with Kavanagh at full-time, with Liverpool’s talisman telling the official: “If I don’t see you, it was a pleasure.”
Referee appointments are yet to be confirmed for Liverpool’s remaining games this season, meaning Salah could yet meet Kavanagh again before he departs, but with just five games remaining as a Red now, the 33-year-old is making sure to get his goodbyes in while he can.

Speaking after scoring in Sunday’s game, Salah said: "It feels great. The most important thing was to help the team to settle down and feel more confident.
“We knew before the game it was going to be tricky, difficult, and I’m glad we were able to win it."
Although it is certain to be an emotional final few weeks for Salah and Liverpool fans, the winger is remaining focused on the job in hand - qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
The Reds need a maximum of nine points to guarantee a top-five finish, and Chelsea’s defeat to Brighton on Tuesday means they might not even need that many as they gear up for a tricky final month of the season.
