Former Liverpool player Steve Nicol has highlighted a "horrible" choice from Mohamed Salah, which encapsulated the Reds' humiliating 2-1 defeat at Wolves.
Liverpool was shocked by the Premier League's bottom side; prior to Tuesday's game, Wolves had won just two home games all season. Salah, 33, did level the score for Arne Slot's team moments after Rodrigo Gomes had put Wolves ahead in the 78th minute.
However, Liverpool couldn't manage to salvage even a point, as Andre Gomes' injury-time effort deflected off Joe Gomez and found the back of the net. The home team proved ruthless, converting half of its four shots.

Nicol, who enjoyed a trophy-filled 13-year stint at Anfield, criticized the Egyptian's limited impact and pinpointed one notably weak decision that might have altered the outcome at Molineux.
Speaking on ESPN, the ex-Liverpool defender said: "In the final third, the decision was just horrible.

"The one we showed in the highlight with Mo Salah... although he scored the goal, the goalie should've saved it, and he really didn't contribute anything, again, all evening.
"I could sit here for 10 minutes and say everything that has gone wrong, but [Tuesday] was a microcosm of what's gone wrong all season; poor decision-making, the front three done not much at all, and defensively, you concede two goals from two shots."
Salah endured an unprecedented 10-match goalless streak in the Premier League, having failed to find the net in Liverpool's last outing, a 5-2 triumph against West Ham on Saturday.
His struggles have mirrored the Reds' downturn as they fight to secure Champions League football for next term.
Nicol added: "My biggest concern is that it doesn't matter who Liverpool play against... they can lose.
"It's one thing to talk about big games in a season, but when your team is stepping on a field regardless of the situation, and you're not sure what you're going to get, that's not a decision acceptable at a club like Liverpool. Everybody who plays against Liverpool know they're going to get a shot and probably going to score."
Slot shared Nicol's frustrations regarding Liverpool's profligate attack. "Same old story," lamented the Reds manager, whose team could slip to sixth on Wednesday.
"Recently, we are picking up points because many times we've scored from set pieces, but what did not change in the last five, six, or seven games is that we struggle and find it very hard to score from the open-play chances that we do create."
