Another midfielder could join AC Milan this summer, and it could be one of Massimiliano Allegri’s most wanted deals.
Last summer, Milan wanted to add some new legs to the midfield, and considered a move for Adrien Rabiot. The Frenchman, who had quite a succesful time with Juventus, was a free agent, and the Rossoneri were aware to the situation.
However, he went to Marseille. Though, there could be more to the story yet.
With Allegri’s arrival, there have been persistent links to some of his former Juventus stars, and Rabiot has been mentioned heavily. Nevertheless, there has been little movement towards him, leading some to question the business.
This weekend, though, in the mercato summit, Allegri pressed for the midfielder again.
Rabiot in?
With Yunus Musah expected to leave, Giovanni Fabbian was under consideration, and he still may be. However, that deal is reliant on Bologna finding a replacement for the Italian, so it is best to keep options open.

So, this afternoon, Matteo Moretto reports that contact has been made by the Diavolo for Rabiot, with ‘concrete steps taken’. At present, the parties are just studying if an operation is feasible, but it could grow quickly.
Importantly, this is an ‘explicit’ request from Allegri, which could quiten any suggestions that he is not being considered this summer.
