Next week there will be a mission in Turkey involving Alvaro Morata’s agents to unblock his move to Como, according to reports.
Como want to continue their expansive summer mercato by welcoming Morata as the new leader of the attack. The Spanish striker has already spoken with Cesc Fabgregas – his compatriot and former team-mate – and he is keen on making the switch.
The problem is that, currently, Morata is a player on loan at Galatasaray and is tied to an agreement with the Turkish club until June 2026. To untie this knot, Gala has asked to receive compensation equal to 50% of the €6m paid as a loan fee (therefore €3m).
As Matteo Moretto reported on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel (via MilanNews), there will be an important mission by Morata’s agents, who will fly to Istanbul next week to unblock the stalemate and allow Fabregas’ direct request to be fulfilled.
Moretto said: “Everything is okay between Morata and Como. Morata is pushing, he is pushing to go to Como, and there is an advanced negotiation between the parties, but the green light from Galatasaray is missing for the closure, because Gala is the club that actually has this situation in hand, has this situation in its grasp.
“The green light from Galatasaray is needed for this type of deal. And I can tell you, also thanks to Fabrizio’s work, that over the next week there will be an important mission by Alvaro Morata’s agents in Turkey to try to unblock this impasse, to try to unblock Morata’s move to Como. It is an explicit request, Morata to Como, from Cesc Fabregas.”
