Matteo Moretto has given an interesting quickfire update regarding AC Milan’s mercato, covering three players.

Milan are working on a number of different issues when it comes to the summer transfer window. In addition to two new starting full-backs, Igli Tare has already announced the desire to sign a centre-forward too.

Not only that, but there are various outgoings to work on too, both to raise funds and clear up the wage bill but also to trim the squad down too. It is a busy start to July, therefore, which coincides with the beginning of preseason too.

Moretto’s latest update

Speaking on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel (via X), Moretto spoke more specifically about Guela Doue, Noah Okafor and Victor Boniface, a trio of names that have been speculated on in recent days

Milan have had new contacts for Guéla Doué, the journalist claims. The Strasbourg right-back is increasingly appreciated by the club and is seen as the strongest candidate for the role at present.

It’s not an easy deal because of the competition, as Sunderland also want him. But if Milan come forward, Doué ‘would not hesitate’ given the appeal that the Rossoneri have. Before advancing, Milan want to offload Emerson Royal but no concrete offers have arrived yet.

Bologna are back in for Noah Okafor. They already asked for information in January and now there have been fresh contacts. The key will be the formula of the deal: the Milan management want a permanent sale.

Milan consider Victor Boniface as an ideal partner for Santiago Gimenez. The problem could however be of an economic nature, also considering the fact that Leverkusen were about to sell him to Al-Nassr in January for €60m, but then the Saudi side took Jhon Duran, now on loan at Fenerbache.

Duran was on the Rossoneri’s list too, as was Darwin Nunez, who is also a bit out of reach in terms of price tag. Dusan Vlahovic’s name remains on the list, and if the economic possibility arose, Milan would try because Allegri likes him a lot.
