Bournemouth have made great progress in their pursuit of Alex Jimenez, according to Matteo Moretto, and they are now close to reaching an agreement with AC Milan.
After playing very little during the pre-season, while failing to impress when given the chance, it’s clear that Max Allegri doesn’t have Jimenez at the top of the pecking order. As a result, the Spaniard has been put on the market.
Como and Roma were quick to express their interest, but by the sounds of it, they have both been overtaken by the Premier League side. In fact, the Rossoneri could be in for a decent payday if the deal materialises.
Bournemouth agreement close
According to Matteo Moretto in his latest video with Fabrizio Romano, Bournemouth have ramped up their pursuit of Jimenez in recent hours. They have subsequently overtaken Roma and Como in their talks with Milan, who are pushing for a loan with an obligation to buy.
The deal is believed to be worth €22-24m, as Moretto states, but there will be more clarity on this down the line. What’s clear is that Milan have communicated to Jimenez that he’s on the market, and that Andoni Iraola’s side are ‘close’ to securing a total agreement.
Real Madrid have also been informed of the talks, seeing as they have a buy-back for the full-back. We will have to wait for more details on this, as the buy-back is supposedly meant to be eligible next summer too.
