Moretto: Jimenez’s permanent Bournemouth move a formality – how much Milan will get

Alex Jimenez has already convinced Bournemouth that he is worth signing permanently, and AC Milan are set for a windfall as a result.

As a reminder, Milan decided to let Jimenez leave the club late in the summer window to secure a switch to another team that play in red and black stripes, albeit in the Premier League. A loan with an initial option to buy deal was agreed with Bournemouth.

However, it emerged from various different sources that the option would become an obligation to buy once the conditions set out in last August’s agreement (a guaranteed number of appearances in all competitions) are met. Jimenez is well on the way to achieving them.

Now, Matteo Moretto has provided an update on his X profile. He claims that – following Jimenez’s great performance against Liverpool and the level he’s showing in the Premier League at just 20 years old – he will become a permanent Bournemouth player.

Not only that, but there will be no buy-back or any future resale percentage in favour of Real Madrid, who Milan signed the full-back from. If Los Blancos want him back, it will take ‘a direct negotiation with Bournemouth’, who will pay Milan a total of €22m plus bonuses.
