Moretto: Kirovski planning new round of discussions with Kostic as Milan must raise bid

Milan Futuro are making moves towards Andrej Kostic, but securing a deal for the youngster is proving to be a difficult task so far.

Whilst the budget for the first team may be low, it seems the Futuro have been given money to spend this window. Of course, it falls back to opportunities, and this is a word that Milan fans will be no strangers to now.

However, having extra money for a defender this January could be key to the team’s chances of a Scudetto push.

Nevertheless, it seems that the Rossoneri are persisting in their efforts to sign young Montenegrin striker Kostic from Partizan Belgrade. So far, an offer has been made, but it is deemed to be too low. As a result, the deal is stalling.

The Diavolo have no plans to allow it to end, though. So, Jovan Kirovski is planning to enter a new round of talks in the next few days, as Matteo Moretto reports via MilanNews.

“Jovan Kirovski, sporting director of Milan Futuro, is planning to make direct contact with Kostic in the next few days, very soon.

“The problem is that Milan is offering a fixed base offer of €2.5-€3 million. Partizan is asking for more. Then, with bonuses, all bonuses tied to performance in the first team, Milan would reach €7-€8 million. But right now, the gap between the clubs is wide.

“I won’t deny that the player is pushing to go to Milan, but right now, that’s not enough. An agreement between the clubs is needed, and Milan will have to raise the fixed base, at least to €4.5-€5-€5.5m… Even though the Rossoneri want to stay at €4.5m. Let’s see if the two clubs find an agreement.”
