Moretto: Milan ask about Real Madrid defender – relations could ‘facilitate the operation’

AC Milan could sign a Real Madrid full-back to replace Theo Hernandez after an enquiry was made, a report claims.

One of Milan ‘s main goals in this transfer market is to fill the void left by Theo, who was sold to Al-Hilal last week. After the deal for Archie Brown fell through – who chose Fenerbahçe – the Rossoneri management is working to find a suitable alternative.

Garcia on the radar

According to Matteo Moretto (via Radio Rossonera), Milan have again turned to Real Madrid in pursuit of a new starting left-back, just like they did six years ago when they signed Theo from them as an upgrade on Ricardo Rodriguez.

In a YouTube video, Moretto states that ‘Milan have requested information on Fran Garcia , who they consider an interesting player to fill the gap left by Theo Hernandez’.

It is clear that the various negotiations in recent years are an indication of good relations between the two clubs which could thus ‘facilitate the operation’. Milan and Real Madrid have completed several transfer deals in recent years, starting with Theo, followed by Brahim Diaz and Alex Jimenez.

Moretto adds: “From what I’m told, as of today there have been no in-depth contacts or real negotiations, but only a request from Milan to understand if Fran Garcia could leave Real Madrid.”

The Spanish giants have just closed the signing of Carreras from Benfica, but Mendy’s precarious physical condition could force Los Blancos to keep Garcia.
