Valencia will meet with the entourage of Javi Guerra to try and make progress on a renewal, but AC Milan are waiting.
Matteo Moretto posted a video on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel (via MilanNews) in which he gave an update on Milan’s pursuit of a new midfielder. Firstly, he confirmed that Club Brugge have effectively publicly declined Milan’s latest offer of €32.5m plus bonuses for Ardon Jashari.
The Belgian club has been stalling and this morning, through Belgian newspapers, it was announced that the Rossoneri’s offer isn’t enough. The Brugge CEO’s statements were quite clear and they want a guaranteed €35m base fee, which is the most important part, plus bonuses to reach €40m.
Guerra the alternative
As of yesterday, the stance was that Milan will not raise their bid for the Swiss midfielder. They consider the €38m total package to be enough, as Igli Tare confirmed in the unveiling of Massimiliano Allegri, albeit refusing to answer questions in yesterday’s presser.

Moretto adds that Javi Guerra’s entourage will meet with Valencia, who will make him their offer for a contract renewal. Then everything will be in the hands of the Spanish midfielder, who will have to decide whether to stay or accept another challenge.
Milan are waiting, but there are also other clubs also keen on the Spanish U21 international, in particular an English and a Spanish team. After today’s meeting, we’ll understand how the situation will evolve.
