AC Milan, today, have closed a deal with Racing Club de France for Yanis Messaoudi, a defender born in 2009.
With the Milan Futuro project still going strong despite relegation, the Rossoneri are continuing to evaluate different targets for the reserves, whilst having a focus on their pathway to the future, and Messaoudi is the latest.
According to Matteo Moretto, this afternoon, the club have finalised a deal with RC France to sign the young defender, who has previously been compared to Lenny Yoro by French outlets.
What he brings
Starring for the French club’s Under-17 team, the defender has established himself as a ‘modern central defender’ something which is sure to have taken the Diavolo’s interest. Furthemore, the reviews from France are excellent, with some deeming as one of the best products in that wave of talent.
Reports have previously suggested that he will initially face an assessment for his starting point, but sitting with the Primavera for a little while is nothing to be ruled out. However, imaginably, he will feature for the Futuro eventually.
The project is expected to become more focused on younger talents after the relegation to Serie D, so it is entirely possible that he could skip the Primavera step entirely.
