Alexis Saelemaekers is already proving to be a man reborn this season, and AC Milan want to lock down his long-term future.
There have been several rumours about Saelemaekers in the past few months, with multiple teams interested in him and wondering what his future holds. Though there has always been a rebuttal from Milan, with Massimiliano Allegri taking a liking.
After the first few games, it is clear to see why this has been the case. For the Rossoneri, he has been influential, putting in some great performances already. Interestingly, too, his form has continued through the international break.
Suggesting that this may not be a continuation of his fine spell from last season, but actually how he is as a player.

Saelemaekers: Renewal talks planned
Regardless of what that may be, the Diavolo do not want to take any chances, so it seems they could actually look to lock down the Belgian quite quickly.
According to Matteo Moretto, via Milan Posts, his current deal expires in the summer of 2027, so in two seasons’ time, effectively. Though the plan is to extend, or even renew, his deal with updated terms shortly.
Nothing is planned just yet, but contact will be made in the next few weeks or months to discuss the situation. Given that he called Milan ‘home’ this summer, it seems unlikely that there will be any issues with sorting a new deal.
