AC Milan haven’t made a decision on Yunus Musah just yet, still in talks with Atalanta, while an effort must be made for Manuel Akanji in defence.
It has been a busy last few days for Milan and with several targets now identified, as well as sales to be made, it has been particularly intense in the last 24 hours. From Musah to Atalanta, Jimenez to Bournemouth and Akanji for the defence, there have been many developments.
However, the transfer window will close on Monday night and with a game to focus on tonight as well (Lecce away from home), it’s not certain that everything will materialise. That being said, all negotiations are currently alive.
Negotiations ongoing despite Lecce clash
Reports from earlier this morning, and last night, suggested that Milan had made a U-turn on Musah after Ardon Jashari’s injury. In reality, as Matteo Moretto explains, the Rossoneri are still in talks with Atalanta and there could be developments tomorrow.
Atalanta are pushing for the American’s arrival and as per Moretto, we are talking about a paid loan with an option to buy. The option would become an obligation at around €25m if certain conditions are met.
Furthermore, Akanji remains the primary target for the defence and talks are ongoing to understand if the centre-back is willing to lower his salary. Spurs are also interested in the player, so Milan must accelerate their pursuit and, above all, highlight the important role the 30-year-old would get.
