Despite AC Milan having an interest in Giovanni Fabbian, they cannot make any move for him just yet. Unfortunately, it is out of their hands.
There are a few players that could still arrive this summer, and Milan are hoping that Fabbian will be one of them. The Bologna midfielder is one of the new names for Massimiliano Allegri to consider, but there could be some delay.
Yesterday, it was reported that a move would only occur with the sale of Yunus Musah, who is a target for Atalanta. Though a bid has yet to be sent, given their previous attempt was rebutted for being a bit short.
Musah and Bologna
This is only one part of a delay, though, and Matteo Moretto has provided an update from Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel today, as MilanNews relays.
“There have been direct contacts between Milan and Fabbian, but the situation is currently not at an advanced stage for two reasons.
“The first is that Bologna would like to first find a replacement for the player; they would like a player who is already ready: as of today, there hasn’t been any approval or green light from the club.
“Furthermore, there is no agreement currently between Atalanta and Milan regarding Yunus Musah, and consequently between Atalanta and Napoli regarding Brescianini. It’s true that Atalanta has made significant moves towards Musah, and it’s true that they would be ready to submit an offer to Milan within hours: at the moment, there’s no triple-lock between the parties.”
If the delays continue, it may be time to listen to Allegri, who is keen to consider a move for his former Juventus man, Adrien Rabiot.
