It is possible that AC Milan could turn their attentions to Javi Guerra despite the fact he is about to renew with Valencia.
That is according to Matteo Moretto (via MilanNews), who – in a video on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel – took stock of the situation regarding Milan’s search for that final piece of the midfield jigsaw.
“Regarding Jashari, it’s true that Brugge has included him in the Champions League squad for the third qualifying round against Salzburg, and it’s also true that the player continues to hope and dream of joining Milan,” he said.
“They confirm once again that the possibility of Jashari joining AC Milan exists, and the negotiations are still ongoing. But in the coming days, Milan will reflect and decide internally whether to make a further bid or not.
“There are those within the management who believe they’ve done their best, 33.5 + bonuses, while others would like to take another small step to go all in and land Jashari. We’ll see, there will be internal discussions, and in the coming days, Milan will decide which path to take.

“Javi Guerra, on the other hand, is getting closer and closer to a renewal. Valencia is making a major effort, but the Spanish player is still waiting to understand how the Jashari situation evolves. He is still keeping an eye on Milan. We’ll see what developments there will be over the next week.”
Jashari to meet Brugge
A report from Sky late last night claimed that Jashari will meet with the Club Brugge leadership to once again reiterate his desire to be sold, and to be sold specifically to Milan. This is despite the fact that offers of €40m and more have come in from other clubs.
The Swiss talent has been named in the Champions League squad for Wednesday’s preliminary round against Red Bull Salzburg, but it seems very clear that he will not be available. What happens if Milan turn away is anyone’s guess.
