A lot of the talk surrounding AC Milan at the moment concerns a potential striker signing, and Mauro Icardi is the latest name to be linked.
As we approach the January transfer window, it seems apparent that the management are at work to strengthen the attacking department. They are looking for a goal scorer to help Massimiliano Allegri’s Scudetto push, given the struggles of Christopher Nkunku and Santiago Gimenez.
Icardi ‘offered to Milan’
On Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, Matteo Moretto spoke about a few of the names that have been linked to Milan in the media in recent days, and he put forward the idea of the former Inter man Mauro Icardi being a possible opportunity.
“He’s not finding space because of Osimhen, Milan were already interested in him in the summer of 2024. Today they tell me he’s a very difficult name, not one of the first names on the list, but I can tell you that Icardi has been proposed to Milan.

“For various reasons, Milan don’t seem very interested, but he has been proposed, but it’s not a name they’ve denied. I’m giving it a 2.3% chance [of happening].”
The Argentine would certainly fit the bill of being an experienced goal scorer. He has played 219 games in Serie A in his career with Sampdoria and Inter, with 121 goals and 31 assists. Tuttosport mentioned the 32-year-old as a potential mid-season fix in November, so he may be one to watch.
