AC Milan have put forward a bid for Adrien Rabiot, hoping to sign him from Marseille on transfer deadline day.
Rabiot was linked with a move to Milan last summer and earlier in the current window, but he is yet to unite with Milan. The Frenchman is available after Marseille put him on the transfer list officially, following an altercation in training, which has changed things a bit.
Fabrizio Romano has now stated the following: “AC Milan have submitted an official bid to Olympique Marseille for Adrien Rabiot. Total package worth up slightly under €10m fee. Negotiations well underway.”
His colleague Matteo Moretto also confirms the news of an offer being put forward by the Rossoneri, but interestingly he adds ‘parties close’ at the end of his tweet, suggesting things are moving in the right direction.
According to L’Equipe (via MilanNews), Rabiot’s agents held talks with a number of clubs over the weekend, including Milan. Marseille are expecting an offer from the Rossoneri because the talks were ‘fruitful’, and now it seems they have received it
It would be a case of linking back up with Allegri if the move were to happen, as the ex-PSG man became a favourite of the Milan coach during their time together at Juventus.
