Sidiki Chérif is a player that AC Milan are keeping a close eye on, but as highlighted by a report, they are by no means the frontrunners in a difficult race.
There have been a lot of rumours and reports about Milan’s striker situation, not just for this month but also for the summer. After all, the Rossoneri desperately need a reliable No.9 and a signing might be needed to get that.
In recent days, several reports have linked the Angers youngster Sidiki Chérif with the club, with one report going as far as to say that they are ‘pushing’ for his arrival. However, cold water has now been poured on these links.
Moretto’s update on Chérif-Milan
In his latest video with Fabrizio Romano, Matteo Moretto provided an update on the rumours and made it pretty clear that Milan aren’t frontrunners. Even if they were to make concrete steps, the competition is expected to be fierce.
“To date, Milan are one of the many interested teams, but they haven’t submitted any official offer, nor have they taken any concrete steps. Other clubs are further ahead and even the Rossoneri are aware that the player could end up elsewhere.
“There are two other clubs, one in the Premier League and one in France: Crystal Palace and Paris FC,” he stated.
