AC Milan have secured the services of Alphadjo Cissè, who will join the club in the summer, and the price tag of the operation has now been revealed.
This morning, Gianluca Di Marzio stated that Milan had overtaken PSV Eindhoven in the race for the midfielder, reaching an agreement with Hellas Verona. While no price tag was mentioned in the report, it was confirmed that the 19-year-old would remain at Catanzaro (where he’s on loan) until the summer.
Now, Matteo Moretto is reporting that Milan will pay €8m plus an additional €1.5m in bonuses for Cissè. In other words, it’s a significant investment and similar to the one the Rossoneri made for David Odogu in the summer.
First team or Futuro?
Given that Cissè is currently getting regular minutes in Serie B with Catanzaro, you would expect this to be a signing for the first team more so than the Futuro. On the other hand, given the competition in the midfield department, it seems another loan could be the right solution in the summer.

Either way, Milan had been following Cissè for several years before eventually striking an agreement with Verona, so it’s an exciting deal. The fact that he’s Italian as well certainly helps from a squad rules perspective.
