AC Milan had several different striker options proposed to them this summer. Instead, they opted to sign someone who is best suited further away from the box.

Throughout the summer, Dusan Vlahovic’s name rang around the walls of Casa Milan, a possibility that always looked to be waiting. However, Milan never did. A move never occurred, and the Rossoneri were left with questions.

This can be meant in every sense. Christopher Nkunku’s role is currently unidentified, whilst the lack of Vlahovic (or anyone else for that matter) remains something to ponder for Rossonero. Though it seems unlikely that answers will arrive.

Moretto’s summary

Today, Matteo Moretto has tried to offer a little bit of information about the dying embers of the window and how things unfolded, as Francesco Nasato relays on X.

“Several profiles were proposed to AC Milan for the attack, including Embolo and Arokodare. Both waited until the last moment to see if a call from Italy would actually come. For Arokodare, there was also the possibility of Napoli.”

With respect, there is a level between Vlahovic and Embolo, for example, just as there was between an experienced defender and David Odogu. In other words, it certainly doesn’t point towards Massimiliano Allegri having control.
