Moretto: Serie A move back on cards for Valencia midfielder after strong Milan links

Matteo Moretto has suggested that a move to Italy could be on the cards for Javi Guerra, who was linked with AC Milan in the summer.

As a reminder, Guerra was mentioned as a Milan target for the vast majority of the summer window, but ultimately the Rossoneri were able to get their number one name for the midfield: Ardon Jashari, from Club Brugge.

Nevertheless, the admiration for Guerra is obvious, and now his name is back in the news. Matteo Moretto – speaking on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel – spoke of interest among several Serie A clubs and a possible switch.

The Spanish midfielder renewed his contract last summer, a move that temporarily dampened interest from Italy. However, the current situation of the Spanish club – who are struggling both financially and on the field – could reopen the possibility of his sale.

According to Moretto, the possibility of a move away from Spain could gain momentum, especially since Javi Guerra’s profile would fit very well with the characteristics of the Italian league.

Milan had also closely monitored the player’s development in the past, before his contract renewal with Valencia put a stop to any discussions. Now, however, his name could be back on the radar of Italian clubs.
