Moretto: Son not an option for ‘a number of reasons’ but Milan could reinforce attack

AC Milan are not interested in making a January move for Son Heung-min, according to Matteo Moretto, despite the Rossoneri’s struggles in attack.

Milan have relied heavily on Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao at the start of this season, especially the former, as their strikers have failed to deliver so far. Indeed, Santiago Gimenez is yet to open his account for the campaign in Serie A, having only scored in the Coppa Italia.

As such, it’s not exactly strange that fans are suggesting different players ahead of the January transfer window. Son Heung-min, who could leave LA Galaxy on loan, has been mentioned by some and one of his former teammates even spoke about the matter

Attacking reinforcement possible, but not Son

However, according to the latest updates from Matteo Moretto on YouTube, the rumours linking Son with Milan aren’t concrete. In fact, the Rossoneri aren’t interested in the deal ‘for a number of reasons’, above all the costs of bringing him in and the fact that they are already covered in his position.

As Moretto continues, it’s possible that Milan could reinforce the attack in January, but it would be a player who has different characteristics compared to Son. If anything, Massimiliano Allegri needs a target man rather than a creative winger/forward.
