Moretto states Milan ‘want to reward’ Bartesaghi for impressive first-team launch: “Very happy”

Davide Bartesaghi has been a revelation for AC Milan in the first part of this season, and the youngster may be rewarded shortly.

A lot was said about the left-back situation when Theo Hernandez left, and whilst Davide Bartesaghi was considered, he was not really seen as the man to replace him. Perhaps because he is still just a boy in the grand scheme of things.

This has not stopped Massimiliano Allegri from giving him a chance, though, and the defender has taken it with both hands. In fact, it now would be strange to call him anything but the first-choice left-back.

On Friday, he showed he can also aid in a central position too, which only raises the admiration and praise for him.

Moretto’s Bartesaghi update

As a result of his continued performances and the interest in him, Milan are already planning to offer him a renewal, despite him signing one in May last year. Now, Matteo Moretto has offered an update via MilanNews.

“In recent weeks, in recent months, several Premier League clubs have asked for information and tried to probe the price of the footballer, whether he could be out or not. To date there are no official proposals.

“Last May, Bartesaghi signed the renewal with Milan until 2030, around 600k per season: I can tell you that Milan is very happy with the boy’s performance and that Bartesaghi is very happy with everything he is collecting now with the club.

“Contacts are planned around the spring and towards the end of the season to renew his contract again and adjust his salary. Milan wants to reward Bartesaghi for everything he is doing.”
