AC Milan will soon complete the signing of Juan Arizala from Independiente Medellín, but he will not be hanging around for long.
According to Matteo Moretto (via LesViolets), Milan will sign Arizala from the Colombian side for around €3m, with a sell-on clause in Medellín’s favour. He has already made 52 appearances, scoring three goals and providing one assist, and at the age of just 20.
Signed and loaned
Milan have scouted him extensively and have been in negotiations for several weeks to sign him. However, the Rossoneri are not inclined to keep him when he does formally sign, and instead are already thinking about a loan deal.
For the first time since RedBird Capital have been at the helm of both Toulouse and Milan, the American fund could use Toulouse as a satellite club, similar to the arrangement between Chelsea and Strasbourg.

Chelsea send their young talents to gain experience in Ligue 1 before bringing them back once they have performed well in Alsace, as was the case with Andrey Santos. UEFA prohibited Milan and Toulouse from exchanging players when both clubs qualified for European competitions, but it is since been lifted.
Arizala was named best left-back at the U20 World Cup this year. He would compete with Dayann Methalie for the starting left-back position at Strasbourg but can also fill in at left wing, a position currently occupied by Yann Gboho.
