Premier League clubs have begun to enquire about Davide Bartesaghi as his impressive performances for AC Milan continue.
Bartesaghi’s rise is giving Milan’s youth talents an example to follow. There were doubts about whether the full-back would even be part of the senior squad this summer, with a potential loan move or more minutes for Milan Futuro being alternative options for the teenager.
Yet, the Italy U21 international was thrust into the limelight when Pervis Estupinan got injured, and he never looked back. Bartesaghi – a graduate of the Rossoneri’s youth academy – has provided performances that are only getting better, and he has spoken of his attachment to the club.

Matteo Moretto gave an update live on Fabrizio Romano’s Italian YouTube channel and he spoke about Bartesaghi, revealing that there are a number of clubs watching him very closely.
“Bartesaghi agreed to renew his contract with Milan, despite not having the guarantee of playing for the first team. He decided to embrace the Milan project by signing this very long contract extension. Then, clearly, the parties evaluated whether to keep him in the squad or send him out to play.
“Milan expected a step forward from Bartesaghi, especially in terms of his character. And this kind of step forward, thanks also to Massimiliano Allegri’s daily work, is being noticed. Thanks to his performances, he is also making himself known on the pitch for the present, not just for the future.
“Bartesaghi has received very concrete enquiries from several Premier League teams. While we wait to see any developments, the 2005-born player is being closely followed in the English league.”
