Matteo Moretto has provided an update on the striker situation at AC Milan as we head towards the winter transfer window.
Milan continue to be linked with January moved for various strikers, given that Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic – two natural wingers playing up front – are the only consistent producers in the attacking department.
There has been talk of big changes, from Santiago Gimenez leaving after less than a year at the club to Christopher Nkunku potentially departing just a few months after his €38m move from Chelsea. Either way, it seems Igli Tare is at work to see what can be done.
Moretto on Füllkrug and Gimenez
Moretto spoke on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel about the moves that Milan could make in January, including a possible swap deal with Napoli. Everything, it seems, is tied to there being an outgoing first.

“Massimiliano Allegri certainly likes Lucca a lot, but I can tell you that this transfer idea needs to be studied. Milan have a list of five or six strikers, all tied to a possible departure of Santiago Gimenez,” he said.
“Milan are considering which striker to go with. Gimenez has admirers, especially in Germany. Among the strikers the Rossoneri are keeping an eye on is Fullkrug, who is finding little space at West Ham.
“Even in recent days, Fullkrug has been offered to Milan by intermediaries, but at the moment the German is not one of the top names on the Rossoneri’s list.”
