The latest international break is upon us, and it means that AC Milan have lost several players to international duty, unfortunately.
After just a few Serie A games, we are already back in the period without club football, with the second break of the season upon us. There are several Milan players who have been called up, and this is no surprise.
Milan lead the internationals
As MilanPress write, 15 internationals are departing to meet with their respective national teams, which only leaves six senior players at Milanello, not including Ardon Jashari, who is still recovering from injury.
Pervis Estupinan, Santiago Gimenez and Christian Pulisic could all be back after October 16th, which means they could be doubts for the game against Fiorentina on the 19th.
The Viola are also well represented internationally, with 10 call-ups during this break. However, none will travel outside of Europe, so they shouldn’t have to contend with later returns.

In terms of Serie A call-ups, the Diavolo are the clear leaders with the aforementioned 15 players, which makes up around 9% of the 172 players heading away to play for their countries. Inter and Juventus follow with 12 each, whilst Roma, Bologna and Genoa each will lose 11 players.
It is a shame that there is not more Azzurri representation within the Milan ranks, however, more than enough players are departing.
