AC Milan Primavera were subjected to heartbreak this afternoon, as they conceded a last-minute goal against Napoli.
It has been an up-and-down year for Milan’s Primavera, and the past few games have defined this perfectly. A win last time out against Parma is potentially overshadowed by two draws and the loss against Inter.
So, with that recent form, the Rossoneri had hoped to improve in today’s game against Napoli.
Match report
The first half was goalless, but that is not to say that the Diavolo were poor, not by any means. In fact, they were on top for the first 45 and were unlucky not to get ahead. Plazzotta and Mancioppi came close at the start and end of the half.
Certainly, the young team were the protagonists of the first half, and they looked to continue that into the second 45.
So, when the Primavera took the lead 57 minutes in, thanks to a penalty from Simone Lontani, there were no real surprises. In fact, it had seemed somewhat inevitable that a goal was coming for the Rossoneri.
Following that goal, though, it would be the Neapolitan outfit to start posing a threat, and they came close shortly after. Then, after 20 minutes of prolonged pressure, they got their reward, equalising with the last kick of the game.
