Amid interest in Cristian Romero from a host of clubs across Europe, Napoli have now entered the race for the Tottenham star, proposing a swap deal.
Should Tottenham Hotspur manage to beat the drop this season, as we have predicted, then attention must turn to building up their squad.
Keeping the best players will be top of their agenda, but such players might also be considering their future in north London, given Spurs’ near-bottom-three finishes in the last two seasons.
Cristian Romero is one of Tottenham’s best players and is already attracting interest from top clubs, leaving his Spurs future very uncertain.

Napoli considers a Cristian Romero swap deal with Sam Beukema
A fresh report from NapoliMagazine now states that Napoli are currently considering a swap deal with Tottenham this summer.
It is understood that the Italian outfit is interested in signing Cristian Romero in the coming months and is looking to include centre-back Sam Beukema in a potential swap deal.
Spurs are said to be interested in the centre-back, who could very much end up in London in the next transfer window.
Spurs transfer stance and Romero valuation explained
Given that Beukema is only valued at €25million (£21.5million), the possibility of including cash in the swap deal remains on the table, with Romero valued at a much higher price.
The Tottenham captain was rumoured to have a £52million release clause, giving us an idea of what he could pretty much cost in this transfer market.
Napoli will surely have to get in line, given the clubs reported to be interested in signing Romero in the coming months.
Manchester United are reported to be keen on Romero, while Atletico Madrid’s interest in the Spurs captain remains.
With Romano having since poured cold water on Romero’s rumoured release clause, it now means it will take a significant fee to lure him out of north London.
