Stanislav Lobotka, the Napoli midfielder, has shared his thoughts on tonight’s game against AC Milan with the media. Among other things, he said that the Scudetto pursuit is more difficult this time out.
As the reigning champions, the pressure is on Napoli to defend the title this season, especially since they managed to keep Antonio Conte. All of their rivals have made at least one significant change so they certainly have an advantage.
On the other hand, as Lobotka said in an interview with DAZN (via MilanPress) ahead of Milan-Napoli, all teams want to beat them more than ever now. The Rossoneri will be looking to do so this evening and it’s expected to be a special game.
“We know that it’s always special to play against Milan at San Siro, but we are focused on our own path and will do our best to win. Modric? Obviously, we know they have many strong players and it will be a tough match, but we just have to focus on ourselves.
“The Scudetto? It will be more difficult because everyone wants to beat the team that won last season. Now we just have to continue our path and I’m sure we will do our best to win the Scudetto again,” he concluded.
In addition to first place being up for grabs, some of the player battles will be very interesting to follow, not to mention that it will be a tactical battle between Massimiliano Allegri and Antonio Conte from start to finish.
