Archie Brown was one of AC Milan’s targets for the left-back spot, but according to a report, the Gent player is currently flying to Turkey to complete a move to Fenerbahce.

At the tail end of last week, rumours started circulating about a potential move to Milan for Brown, who has been on the club’s radar for quite some time. Late last night, Matteo Moretto stated that the Rossoneri were closing in on the left-back, battling it out with Fenerbahce.

The journalist also stated that Milan had everything in their own hands after reaching an agreement with Gent and the player, who was reportedly very keen on the move. However, the most latest reports suggest there won’t be any move to Italy.

While there was interest from Milan, as the newspaper confirms, it was never concrete enough for the Rossoneri to make a proper offer. As such, they will have to look elsewhere for Theo Hernandez’s successor.

Considering the evident quality difference between the two players, some fans might be happy that the Brown deal is about to fall through.
