Christopher Nkunku rescued a point for AC Milan in their 1-1 draw against Fiorentina, and after the game, he shared his thoughts in an interview.
Milan headed into the game in need of a win, following the 1-1 draw against Genoa on Thursday, but instead they got the exact same outcome. After Rafael Leao’s late equaliser against the Rossoblu, it was Nkunku’s turn this time out with a fantastic strike.
The Frenchman was named the MOTM in our player ratings, obviously, but he wasn’t exactly beaming afterwards. Disappointed was the key word as his goal didn’t help Milan much in the grand scheme of things, even if the unbeaten run was kept alive.
How are you feeling?
“I’m a little disappointed, we wanted the three points. But as the coach says, when you can’t win, it’s crucial not to lose. After the equaliser, we still had seven minutes left, we need to learn to manage the game better and put pressure on the opponent. I’m disappointed because we wanted the three points.”

Are you thinking about the Scudetto or just a Champions League spot?
“When you play for AC Milan, you want to win every game, but we have to take it one game at a time. We have a good coach, a good staff, and we will definitely improve.”
How is your relationship with Allegri?
“Before talking about the coach, we need to talk about the person. Mr Allegri is a great person. It’s a pleasure to work with him every day. He tries to make us work as best we can every day, with a smile, of course,” he told DAZN (via MilanNews).
You scored three goals… Will you stay here?
“I want to stay here, at Milan. It’s all speculation,” he added during his presser (via MilanNews).
Como are up next for Milan, more specifically on Thursday evening, and perhaps Nkunku will get the chance from start in that one. Niclas Fullkrug also did quite well so it might be those two up front instead of Leao and Christian Pulisic.
