Nkunku on fire and the 50-point mark: All the key stats from Bologna vs. AC Milan

AC Milan secured three valuable points after a convincing performance with three goals against Bologna on Tuesday night.

Goals from Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Christopher Nkunku and Adrien Rabiot were enough to move Milan onto 50 points after a 3-0 victory at the Stadio Renato dall’Ara. It means that Roma are now seven points below in fifth place, while Inter remain five points away.

Domination

Milan have been accused of winning games via ‘corto muso’ (by a nose) this season, but this was lungo muso, because it was a landslide. The hosts had more possession, but the Rossoneri had way more in Expected Goals, big chances and shots on target.

In fact, having nine big chances feels like it might be a record, and speaks volumes about the fact that it could have been an even wider margin.

Unbeaten streak roars on

Milan have reached 50 points after 23 seasonal games for only the third time in the three-points-per-win era in Serie A, after 2003-04 (58) and 1995-96 (50).

The Rossoneri (14W, 8D) have remained unbeaten for at least 22 consecutive matches in a single Serie A season for the first time since 1992-93 (a streak of 23 matches under Fabio Capello).

Milan (7W, 5D in 2025-26) have  remained unbeaten in all the first 12 away matches of the season in the league for the first time since Serie A returned to 20 teams (since 2004-05); the last time was in 2003-04 (9W, 3D).

Along with Bayern Munich (8W, 2D), Milan are one of the two teams still unbeaten away in the top five European leagues in 2025-26.

French connection

Adrien Rabiot (4G+4A) is one of two midfielders who have scored at least four goals and provided at least four assists in this Serie A, alongside Nico Paz (8G+6A).

Since last December, the french is the midfielder who has contributed to the most goals in Serie A: seven, with four goals and three assists for the Frenchman.

Christopher Nkunku has scored five goals in his last six league matches, as many as he had in his previous 48 games across Serie A and the Premier League.

After all of the talk about a potential summer exit, Nkunku silenced the noise with another brilliant display, and he should have had at least one assist too.
