‘No question marks’ – Romano ‘guarantees’ Milan are not worried about Leao

The draw against Juventus has stuck in the minds of many since Sunday, and with the international break, it will remain the case for AC Milan fans. 

Unfortunately, the international break has come at a bad time. Rather than heading into the gap with a win under their belt, Milan drew against Juventus, and there were a few events which are proving to be lingering on the minds of many.

Those, of course, are the penalty miss and the two Rafael Leao chances. It is unfortunately inevitable that this will be the case for the next few weeks.

Romano gives Milan-Leao guarantee

For the Rossoneri, though, there is nothing to be made of the situation, at least internally. They have no worries and are still behind both Leao and Christian Pulisic. Fabrizio Romano, in fact, has guaranteed this information on his YouTube channel, as Radio Rossonera have relayed this morning.

“I wouldn’t make a big deal out of it. I think there’ll be a lot of talk now because we’re entering the break, and so for two weeks, we’ll be hearing everything about Leao regarding what happened in the Juventus match.

“I can guarantee 100% that within Milan, there is no Leao case or any question mark over the Portuguese. It’s a match. He’s returning from injury; he certainly could have done better, but there’s no reason to make a Leao case over this: he absolutely remains an important part of this Milan.

“Within Milan, everyone is on Leao’s side, with Leao, all together towards a Milan that is clearly growing and improving. Rafa is a player Max Allegri relies on, but he demands more from him. That’s right, too; it’s part of Allegri’s mentality and his ability to improve players’ mentality, not just their technical ability.”
