This January, most would suggest that AC Milan need to add another central defender to get by this season. However, there is no rush.
Most would prefer the team to be ready before the winter window begins. However, failing that, it would be a case of doing business as soon as possible. Milan have done that with the signing of Niclas Fullkrug.
However, it seems like there will be a wait before a defender arrives, but this may be a good thing. Whilst there are a few options on the mercato, the Rossoneri have a strict budget, so the signing must be the right profile for Allegri to actually make use of.
After all, spending money poorly for the sake of spending money does not benefit anyone.
Other priorities…
Today, Gianluca Di Marzio has confirmed that the club, as expected, are keeping an eye on the defensive market, and MilanNews have relayed his words.
“I confirm what we’ve been saying in recent days. Milan is still looking for a defender, a loan if possible, but there’s no rush. First, there are other situations like the Nkunku one, where we’ll see what Fenerbahçe wants to do with the Frenchman.”
