'Not for the public' - Dominik Szoboszlai makes his feelings clear as Mohamed Salah speaks out

Liverpool star Dominik Szoboszlai insists his side's changing room conversations are not for the public amid the team's current crisis.

Liverpool has suffered a dreadful second campaign under Arne Slot. Having strolled to the championship last season, the Reds find themselves languishing in eighth position following Saturday's thrilling stalemate with Leeds. Slot's men held a two-goal advantage courtesy of Hugo Ekitike's double, only to watch the West Yorkshire outfit draw level.

Midfielder Szoboszlai believed he had clinched victory in the dying moments, but Leeds struck back once more during injury time through Ao Tanaka. In the aftermath of the match, Mohamed Salah cast fresh uncertainty over his Anfield future with some incendiary remarks, particularly regarding Slot.

Szoboszlai addressed the media post-match and insisted that any heated exchanges behind closed doors must stay private. He said: "What is in the dressing room stays in the dressing room, it is not for the public.

"We have to manage it, we have to find solutions. I can always come up with the opportunity on Tuesday or on the weekend again, but there are also times where you have to look at yourself.

"You have to go home and think if you did everything what was possible, and if the answer is yes, then we just keep going, and the momentum will come."

When questioned about Liverpool's struggles this season, the Hungarian midfielder admitted he was finding it difficult to identify the Reds' problems. However, he has urged his colleagues to discover a remedy - and quickly.

Szoboszlai added: "It's a good question. It's hard to speak about it.

"Last year we became champions, now I don't even know what position we are. Every team is doing well.

"Every team wants to win against the champions, and we knew that before the season as well.

"We have to find solutions, we have to show reactions, and everybody has to take responsibility.

"Not always the old guys or the guys that have been here longer, everybody. Everybody has to go on the pitch and show they are ready to fight for this badge."

Liverpool will certainly be looking to return to winning ways this week across a pair of challenging fixtures.

The Reds face Italian giants Inter Milan on Tuesday in the Champions League before a clash with Brighton at Anfield next Saturday.
