‘Not unsellable’ – Moretto and Romano offer Nkunku update as Fenerbahce push

Despite only arriving in the summer, there is a possibility that Christopher Nkunku leaves AC Milan in the January mercato.

Milan have not been strangers to bad summer moves in the past few years. In fact, finding successes from recent years is probably more difficult than finding those who have not struggled at the club.

Unfortunately, these woes have sometimes also carried into the January mercato, with some names even being key to both. For example, Alvaro Morata signed in the summer last season and had left twice by the start of this current season.

It may even happen again this year, with another summer recruit at risk of leaving after six months.

‘Let’s see’

Nkunku has been linked to an exit regularly in the past few weeks, and Matteo Moretto, alongside Fabrizio Romano, offered updates on his situation via PianetaMilan.

Fabrizio Romano: “The Frenchman hasn’t said he wants to leave AC Milan or go to Turkey. To date, Nkunku hasn’t given any signs of leaving. Fenerbahce want to push ahead and have recently had contact with Tare.”

Matteo Moretto: “The transfer market is long, now Fenerbahce is insisting with Nkunku’s agents. Let’s see if other suitors besides Fenerbahce can arrive.

“Milan would close the deal if the right offer were to arrive and if Nkunku were to open up. He’s not unsellable.”

Him not being unsellable is not a shock, far from it. Instead, it is just finding someone who will make the right offer for all parties.
