There is a hope that AC Milan can sign Leon Goretzka in the summer, but they are relying on a few variables to change.
With his deal expiring this summer, there is set to be plenty of interest in Goretzka. After all, he is a physical midfielder who still has plenty left in the tank. It also makes a lot of sense why Milan are also considering a move.
He would represent an opportunity in the summer, if he were to arrive for nothing, and this would be greatly tempting to the Rossoneri, who have prioritised ‘opportunities’ in the mercato over the last few years.
Goretzka off the table?
However, their pursuit may be cut short as early as this month. There is a possibility that Atletico Madrid make a move to replace Conor Gallagher, and this would see him leave Germany this month.
Matteo Moretto, an esteemed mercato expert, has provided the latest via Radio Rossonera.
“There have been contacts in the last few hours with Atletico Madrid to see if a move could be possible as early as January. With Gallagher’s departure, they’re looking for a low-cost addition to bolster the squad. To date, the main contacts are with Atletico Madrid, not with Italian clubs.”
