This morning, AC Milan announced that Massimo Oddo has been given a two year extension on his deal, keeping him at the club until June 2027.
Since returning to Milan earlier this year, Oddo’s impact on the Futuro was felt immediately. Results began to pick up, but it was not enough to undo the damage that had already been done. However, despite their relegation, confidence remains in the coach.
Oddo renews
In a statement this morning, that was released on the club’s website, the plan for Oddo’s future was outlined.
Over the next two years, the coach will continue to ‘mentor young talent’ in the Milan Futuro programme. Furthermore, thanks to his efforts since returning, the Rossoneri have ‘full trust’ in Oddo. Additionally, he will continue to develop the young players with the goal of readying them for the first team.
Something else to note is that his assistants, Marcello Donatelli, Mauro Tassotti and Valerio Brandi have all also renewed until the summer of 2027. A statement of their belief in Oddo and his team, but also that the squad needs consistency and Oddo offers that.
This year was below expectations. However, the future can be positive, especially with more solidity at the top.
