AC Milan have today confirmed that goalkeeper Lapo Nava has joined US Cremonese in a permanent deal.
A statement on the official website reads: “AC Milan can confirm that Lapo Nava has joined US Cremonese on a permanent basis.
“The Club would like to thank Lapo for the professionalism and commitment he has shown since joining the Youth Sector and wishes him all the best for his personal and professional future.”
Nava departs
It was reported yesterday by Gianluca Di Marzio that Nava would be heading the Cremonese in a permanent move. The report stated that Milan would keep a percentage of the proceeds from a future resale.
Nava came through the Milan academy and was a big part of the Primavera side that got to the semi-finals of the 2022–23 UEFA Youth League. He began appearing on the bench for the senior side in that season, and in August 2023 was officially named as a member of the first team squad.

Last May, Nava made his Milan and competitive senior football debut in the final game of the 2023-24 season against Salernitana. He replaced Antonio Mirante with two minutes to go and conceded instantly, which was not ideal.
What is interesting is that the 6ft6 21-year-old could actually face Milan as an opponent in round one of the season, given the Rossoneri begin against Cremonese.
