Leonardo D’Alessio, who played for Milan Futuro during the 2024-25 season, has been sold by AC Milan to Novara as confirmed by an official statement.

D’Alessio made 20 appearances for the Futuro side this past season, impressing in some of the games. The season before that, he was on loan at Pro Sesto in an attempt to revive his career, having suffered a serious eye injury in the 2022-23 pre-season.

The right-back was very highly rated when he joined the Rossoneri from Roma in the summer of 2022, but the injury put everything on hold a month later. The eye injury was described as ‘serious and rare’, but thankfully he made a full recovery.

D’Alessio to Novara: Official

As confirmed by Milan on the website, with the Futuro relegated to Serie D and D’Alessio wanting a higher level, an agreement was reached with Novara over a permanent transfer. The Rossoneri have thus parted ways with the defender.

“AC Milan can confirm the permanent transfer of Leonardo D’Alessio to Novara FC. The Club would like to thank Leonardo for his professionalism and wish him all the best for both his personal and professional future,” the statement reads.

While it didn’t work out in the end, D’Alessio showed glimpses of what he can do with the Futuro and it will be interesting to see how his development pans out with Novara.
