AC Milan have been given a boost almost a week before their weekend fixture, thanks to some information from Bologna.

The weekend is approaching, which means Milan are back in Serie A action. It is a big weekend for the Rossoneri, given they face a Rossoblu side who stood between them and the Coppa Italia trophy last season.

So, if the summer’s improvements are to be seen in action, it needs to be against a side like Vincenzo Italiano’s, who have previously proven to be a level above. It also gives the Diavolo a chance to see if they made the right managerial decision.

Bologna’s statement

Massimiliano Allegri will have his own squad to deal with, but he has also been given some information about the visitors from a press release today.

As relayed by MilanNews, Bologna have released some information about their training session today, including some injury news.

“The Rossoblù resumed training this morning ahead of Saturday’s Milan-Bologna match. The Rossoblù included athletic warm-up sessions, technical drills, and a small-sided match. Lukasz Skorupski returned to the city after his commitments against Poland, while Emil Holm and Nicolò Casale completed individual training. Ciro Immobile underwent therapy.

“Tests on Tommaso Pobega, following a recent injury, revealed a lesion of the left rectus femoris, with a recovery time of approximately three weeks. Ibrahim Sulemana, on the other hand, suffered a lesion of the right medial collateral ligament, with a recovery time of approximately four weeks.”

Whether Pobega would have played at San Siro is a question in itself. However, it will remain unanswered. It also remains to be seen if players like Ciro Immobile will be ready for the game.
