Official: Camarda and Lecce await Milan in the event of a win against Bari

2 days ago 9

AC Milan will be up against Bari in the Coppa Italia preliminaries tomorrow and if they were to progress to the next round, then they will face Lecce and Francesco Camarda.

Due to finishing in eighth place last season, Milan have been forced to enter the Coppa Italia in a much earlier stage than usual. Indeed, instead of the Round of 16, they are starting in the preliminaries which means they need to win two games to reach the former.

Bari are up first, with kick-off scheduled for 21:15 CEST tomorrow, and it’s a game that the Rossoneri simply have to win. They will have to do so without Max Allegri, though, as the manager will be serving a ban he was handed after Juve’s Coppa Italia final win in 2023-24.

Camarda returns to San Siro?

Yesterday, the potential opponent in the next round was also confirmed as Lecce prevailed 2-0 against Juve Stabia, despite playing with ten men for the whole second half. Milan loanee Francesco Camarda came off the bench and bagged a lovely assist for the deciding goal.

In other words, if the Rossoneri were to win tomorrow, then the youngster will be back at San Siro at the end of September. The two will meet earlier than that, though, as the first league encounter is scheduled for August 29 (but it will be played at Via del Mare).
