Fabio Pandolfi has signed his first professional contract with AC Milan and will join the Futuro squad, having enjoyed success with the U17 side this past season.
Following the relegation to Serie D, Milan have been forced to alter their plan for the Futuro side, now focusing even more on youth players. Attracting older players, or at least those that have quality, to play in the fourth tier is not easy task, but promoting academy players is a different thing.
After Andrea Di Siena, Daniel Petrone and Simon La Mantia, Milan have now also announced that Fabio Pandolfi will be with the Futuro side next season. It comes after a very successful season for the attacking midfielder.
With the U17 side, Pandolfi played a very important role with six goals and three assists in 25 appearances. Milan are now hoping that he can continue his development against older players, and it remains to be seen if he will be a starter or not.
