Lecce have announced that they have completed the signing of Francesco Camarda on an initial loan deal from AC Milan.
On a statement on their official website, Lecce write: “U.S. Lecce announces that it has acquired, on a temporary basis with option and counter-option rights, the rights to the sporting performances of the footballer Francesco Camarda from A.C. Milan.”
It was a strange season for Camarda who shuttled between the first team and Milan Futuro for the first part. He then made his first league start in a draw against Cagliari, before becoming mostly an unused substitute in 2025.
Going into the summer it was therefore a question of whether the new coachMassimiliano Allegri could give him more chances, or whether he might be ready for a loan spell at the age of 17 to play more continuously.

Sure enough, Lecce emerged as the frontrunners early on when the decision was taken to loan him out. It is believed that the option to buy is set at €3m and the buy-back at €4m, with some bonuses included to encourage the Salento side to play him.
Lecce director Pantaleo Corvino gave an interview to La Gazzetta dello Sport over the weekend and he gave a brief comment about Camarda, suggesting that their head coach Eusebio Di Francesco will have no problem playing him.
“I’ll just say one thing: you shouldn’t take Camarda’s age into account. For me, quality has no age,” he said (via MilanNews).
