Official: Ismael Bennacer joins GNK Dinamo on loan with option to buy

This morning, GNK Dinamo have announced the capture of Ismael Bennacer, who will now leave AC Milan after a long summer of little attention.

There have been odd things here and there about Milan potentially parting with Bennacer. However, there has been nothing that has really taken off, and this led to him ‘assessing’ his options until late in the summer.

Bologna and Juventus were reportedly interested in a move, but they never made a move, so the only club waiting were Trabzonspor. Though the Algerian never gave the move a ‘yes’, so he looked likely to remain, at least for now.

That has now changed, though.

Bennacer: Nearly* done

Today, after a few reports of potential interest, GNK Dinamo have announced that Bennacer has signed for the club on loan, with the option to make the deal permanent next summer. Worryingly, though, he has not yet signed a contract.

Instead, he is on his way to Zagreb to complete a medical, and then things would become official. A bold move to announce the deal before a medical, but it seems like they are confident that things will get done shortly.

Unfortunately, there is no news of how much the buy clause is worth in the deal. All things considered, though, it is unlikely to be near the figure that the Diavolo hoped for.
